3 ways to wash a burnt pan<\/h2>\n

It is not uncommon for saucepans and cast iron pans to burn easily when cooking certain foods. When you're making sugar paste, cooking rice or heating milk, it's particularly tricky to get the pan clean. Instead of scrubbing for hours, try these housewife tips - for a sparkling clean pan.<\/p>\n

Soap is an amazing panacea that can save any pan. So all you need for this housewife tip is soap and water.<\/p>\n

Do this:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Put the saucepan on the stove over medium heat<\/li>\n
  2. Pour a few tablespoons of soap into the burnt pan<\/li>\n
  3. Boil for 10 minutes<\/li>\n
  4. Set the saucepan aside and leave to cool<\/li>\n
  5. Wash up as usual and you have a clean pan!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Vinegar and salt<\/h2>\n

    Vinegar is another household favourite that can tidy up<\/a> remove the toughest of problems, even a burnt pan. What's more, this method is simple and gives a shiny result!<\/p>\n

    You will need:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. 1 dl vinegar<\/li>\n
    2. 2 dl of water<\/li>\n
    3. 1 tsp salt<\/li>\n
    4. 12 hours<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Do this:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Bring the water to the boil<\/li>\n
      2. Pour in vinegar and salt<\/li>\n
      3. Stir the mixture<\/li>\n
      4. Set aside and leave overnight<\/li>\n

        3. washing-up liquid<\/h2>\n

        If you don't have soap in your cupboard, you can replace it with washing-up liquid instead, to remove sugar that has burnt into the pan.<\/p>\n

        1. Bring 3 dl of water to the boil<\/li>\n
        2. Pour in 1 tsp of washing-up liquid<\/li>\n

          If none of the above tips work individually, you can try all three. Unfortunately, some pots and pans can't be saved completely if they've been left too long without being washed.
