What is bile soap?<\/h2>\n

Gall soap is a natural and environmentally friendly alternative to stain removers. It contains no bleach, perfume or preservatives. It usually contains ox bile, chlorophyll and natural oils such as coconut or palm oil. Bile soap is classed as a good and gentle alternative for those who cannot tolerate stain removers with strong chemicals. Therefore, try replacing your usual product with this natural soap instead. The soap comes in both solid and liquid form, but both soaps contain similar ingredients.<\/p>\n

Where to buy bile soap?<\/h2>\n

You can find bile soap in most supermarkets, such as Ica or Coop. You can also buy the soap online at some pharmacies. So it's not hard to find the soap if you're keen to try nature's equivalent of Vanish!<\/p>\n

How to use bile soap<\/h2>\n

As a stain remover<\/h3>\n

Bile soap is a real miracle cure when it comes to tough spots<\/a>. For example, it effectively removes coffee stains, chocolate stains, red wine stains and grease stains<\/a>. If you have a severe stain, you can use the soap as follows:<\/p>\n

Do this:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Start by soaking the garment with the stain.<\/li>\n
  2. Then work the soap into the stain by rubbing. It should lather well.<\/li>\n
  3. Leave on for a few minutes. Really tough stains may need to stay for an hour or so.<\/li>\n
  4. Finally, you can wash the garment or textile according to the washing instructions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To clean shoes<\/h3>\n

    Do you have a pair of trainers or boots that could use a refresh? If you haven't tried gall soap before, it's high time. Forget expensive cleaning products for leather, suede or trainers - with a gall soap you can clean several things with the same product.<\/p>\n

    Do this:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Rinse the shoe under running water.<\/li>\n
    2. Soak a sponge and rub in soap.<\/li>\n
    3. Then clean the shoes with the soaped sponge.<\/li>\n
    4. Rinse off excess product and wipe the outside clean with a cloth.<\/li>\n
    5. Dry the shoes overnight with newspaper inside - a good #cleanhack to preserve the shape.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Can bile soap get old?<\/h2>\n

      Generally speaking, bar soap has no expiry date. This is because there are no unnatural chemicals that can get old, and the soap contains a lot of natural fats that do not go rancid. Therefore, this is another reason to continue using the soap instead of other stain removers in the future.<\/p>\n
