Rain may feel like a breath of fresh air to nature, but it's not always fun for your home. Whether you have toddlers happily jumping in puddles, or a dog that loves to roll around in the mud, carpets can quickly turn into a dirty battlefield. But before you panic about those muddy spots, here's a housewife's tip to fix it. The answer is spelt out: baking powder!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here's how it works:<\/h3>\n

After a rainy walk or a wet playtime in the garden, muddy feet and paws can quickly create a trail of chaos. But instead of throwing away the carpet or hiding the stains with furniture, try this simple trick:<\/p>\n

  1. Step 1: Sprinkle baking soda on the stain<\/strong>
    \nImmediately after the stain appears, take out the baking soda and sprinkle a generous layer over the mud. The baking soda will start to absorb the moisture immediately and help break down the dirt.<\/li>\n
  2. Step 2: Let the baking powder work<\/strong>
    \nBe patient! Leave the baking powder on the stain for at least 15 minutes, but the longer you leave it on, the better. Do you have time? Leave it overnight for maximum effect.
